Message from the Founding Directors
Dear Parents and Students,

We are thrilled to welcome you to The Pearl International Islamic School, Uganda's first and only international Islamic primary school.
The Pearl is more than just a school; it is a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing global citizens with strong Islamic values.
The Pearl is a solution to a longstanding problem faced by many parents in the diaspora and within Uganda. As founders, we understand this challenge firsthand. When we returned to Uganda with our children, we sought a school that offered both an international curriculum and Islamic studies. However, we found that such an institution did not exist.
We were forced to navigate multiple schools to meet our children's educational needs. While some offered international curricula, none provided the Islamic studies we desired. Conversely, Islamic schools were not equipped to cater to international students. This experience highlighted a significant gap in Uganda's educational landscape.
Determined to address this issue, my wife and I decided to establish a school that would provide a holistic education, combining academic excellence with Islamic values. At The Pearl, our students benefit from the Cambridge curriculum in primary and Montessori in kindergarten, complemented by Hikmah, an internationally accredited Islamic curriculum.
Our approach to education emphasizes understanding, reasoning, and practical application, rather than mere memorization. We prioritize moral and Islamic values, ensuring our students become global citizens who can positively impact the world while remaining true to their faith.
We are committed to creating an international environment that aligns with our values (MALIK), where students receive exceptional care and support. Our own children are students at The Pearl, and we are confident that our school offers a solution to the challenges faced by many parents.
